patati et patata
Today I'm too lazy to do anything, so I'll stay at home. Anyway, I have to read that book about the History of the XXth century... =/ But before that, there are quite many things I have to tell you.
The Swedes are quite a weird specie; when you're really bad at something, they will never tell you. For exemple, if you keep on making mistakes while speaking Swedish, they will just correct you every minute and they they will tell you with the biggest smile ever : Vad duktig du är! (How good you are). And actually it makes you feel even more stupid...
Ok, this was just a little thing I had wanted to write about for quite a long while, so now I'll tell you about these few last days.
Well, on monday, Frederik and anne-Murielle came to Umeå. The first thing anne said was: Can't we go out? It's so sunny, I want to run!. So we decided to go downtown, which usually takes about one hour. But Frederik and i decided to walk on the frozen river, which Anne didn't really think was such a good idea, because you have to walk like a Yeti or whatever, since there is about 15cm of snow on the ice. But we did it. It took much time, Anne kept on complaining about us having so stupid ideas, our shoes were full of snow, but on the whole, we kind of had fun =P on the evening, we met Lovisa and we all went 'fika' in some coffee; that was nice =D
Then we hung around in the center of Umeå, looking for shoes and clothes for Anne and Fred. As usual, we discovered a few weird things that only Swedes can dare wear. And other things that only Swedes can invent, such as having a window between the kitchen and the toilets at MacDonald's.
On tuesday, we went downtown on foot again, just to buy our tickets for Umeå Open, which is an annual music festival in Umeå, with many cool bands from Sweden (and Norway and Germany). Anne took to bus back to Skeelefteå on tuesday evening. Which was quite a pity, because fred and i had really much fun 'sparka' (=traineau, luge, en fin bref) in the streets around the house. We almost died several times, but in the end, we were quite proud of our advances! =P And fred went back to Skellefteå the day after.
And finally yesterday, i woke up at 7:30, and at 9 we (Ola, Sigge and i) went to some place to ski. There's no need for me to say that given that I'm extremely bad at it, i fell at least a thousand times. And the last time I tried to get down the piste, i just crashed into a girl who had stopped right where I wanted to turn. i got her stick on my nose, which became really hard and a bit blue... NIICE. Today it's still a bit blue and swollen, and i think I'll go and see the doctor oif it doesn't get normal soon... =/ But it's ok, I'm not dead, and i was even driven back up the piste on a snow scooter! hehehehe. That was cool, really.
But now I've got to go and study, so ciao people!
