Sorry for not having updated this blog on tuesday, unlike what I had said. i just had neither time nor courage. But today I'm decided to fix that, before going back home and drinking an enormous bowl of tea in front of my philosophy book (the reason being that I'm going to have a test next week and we have to read about thirty pages about empirism and rationalism).
Anyway... I'm so tired that i don't even remember what I wanted to tell you... I haven't slept that much during the past few days and it won't get better before the Chistmas holidays. Today is "sankta Lucia"'s day, and people usually don't sleep much the night before. So yesterday night, I was at Caro's with other friends -and friends' friends - to 'fika' and watch TV. So we drank glögg and ate Lussekatter and Pepparkakor while watching a Swedish comedy entitled Hip Hip, and then Alladin (yes, all of us are about 18, but we did watch that cartoon...). I'm quite happy, by the way, because despite the fact I was totally exhausted, I understood (almost) everything whothout any big effort. Well, I finally got back home at 12:30 thanks to Olov who gave me a ride (tack så mycket!)
This morning, at 8:20, instead of going to the first lesson, most of the pupils went to the 'aula' (a kind of big show/conference room in the school) to see the 'Sankta Lucia tåg': pupils (not only girls) sing special songs about light - since Sankta Lucia is about celebrating the light that makes the darks days more enjoyable. It was really nice, and I'm really impressed that so many Swedes can sing so well. Imean...in France, we're not really used to sing...
What else can I say?... In 9 days, I'll turn eighteen and I'm really not looking forward to it. I know that everyone turns 18 one day, but it makes me feel so old. Most of the people who know that i feel so weird about it keep telling me that 18 isn't much, and that my life has just begun. But actually, who knows??
Apart from all that, Lovisa has eventually come back to school, still sick but still cheerful, even with her sick witch-like voice, she managed to sing really loudly in the corridors. LOVISA IS BACK! =)
Ohh by the way: I'm going to Göteborg/Gothenburg from Jan 1st to 6th to see Marion. So I'll take the buss and the train for about fifteen hours. Spännande! I'm really glad to go there; I'm sure those few days will be full of laughs and stupid things...And I have no doubt about this, because even when Marion and I just say 'Hello' to each other, we just burst laughing without knowing why... I just hope she warned her family about that, because if not, they'll probably be a bit surprised at first!
Before going home, I'll say a few words about the weather here. Actually, it's really unsteady. One day it's rainy and windy and not cold at all, and the next day the temperature is below zero. It's quite annoying, because you never know what the weather will be like the day after. And it's really weird that it's not snowing at that time of the year....i mean...There are only less than two weeks left before Christmas, and i hope that we'll have a least some snow before that... i want to have a snowy Christmas once in my life!!!
Concerning the daylight...Môsieur Soleil rises up around 9-something o'clock and down before 2pm. But it's not as annoying as what one could think...Especially when it's snowy or when everything's frozen, because it kind of lights everything up... So that's pretty cool, faktiskt.
Oj, now i have to go. I'm going back home on foot (which Helga thinks is totally crazy, though it only takes 40minutes) and i don't want to get there too late.
